Kanto Projects is pleased to present the forthcoming group exhibition of Katorseng Tumbok an informal collective formed in the University of the Philippines CFA grounds in 2005. The collective’s initial impetus was to instigate unorthodox, spontaneous and experimental art practices that decry formalistic approaches in art production. For Kanto Projects Katorseng Tumbok will present an eclectic mix of Vancouver and Manila based artists, the collective’s third exhibition Kinabag ngunit Deluxe (Flatulence yet Deluxe) will examine the consumption and effects of cross cultural pollination and aesthetic plurality as a departure point.
