The works evoke a sense of physical agency that alludes to the aesthetic means employed by utilitarian culture. Playing with notions of clairvoyance and ritualistic prophesy, Psychic Plaza speculates on the uncertain future and its relationship with the uncertainty of time and space.Ian Edmonds is currently attending Staedelschule in Frankfurt Germany. He recently had a solo show at the Vancouver School of Art Gallery called “Let it go to your head” in 2011.Setareh Yasan received her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2010. Her works have been shown at 221a artist run center, Surrey Art Gallery and Barg Gallery.Avery Nabata received her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2009. She recently participated in the Bright Light public art program under the Helen Pitt Gallery in 2010 in collaboration with Jenipher Hur.Chris Boni attended Hunter College in New York and completed his BFA at Nova Scotia College of Art + Design. He recently had a two-person exhibition called SCRAP-GOLD in Vancouver B.C with Logan Sturrock.Simon Redekop studied General Fine arts at Kwantlen University College and received a diploma in Graphic design and Illustration from Capilano University College in 2000. He is one of the co-founding members of the Human Five collective.Makiko Yoshii received her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2010. She recently collaborated with Jay Pozo for the Code.Lab surveillance art project for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.Alainnah Whachell is a senior student at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She recently had a two person exhibition with Nicole Ondre titled “Matter Work” at the UNIT/PITT in 2010 formerly known as the Helen Pitt Gallery.Janice Cheung received her BFA from University of Guelph. Her installation practice often involves a multiple of some kind. She is one of the co-founding members of the Young Asian Canadian Twin Artists Collective. Aaron Moran received his BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2007, he also studied Film and Video studies at Simon Fraser University in 2009. He is currently participating in a residency under The Kent Harrison Arts Council. He is also participating in the 2011 Fraser Valley Biennale.
